Effect of Temperature and Acidification on Reinjection of Geothermal Water into Sandstone Geothermal Reservoirs: Laboratory Study

چکیده
Geothermal reinjection is a new method of geothermal development which can maintain regional reservoir pressure, and it conducive to the sustainable utilization heat. However, blockage has always been problem that restricts utilization, causing reservoirs, especially attenuation sandstone reservoirs. Considering an example typical in Binzhou, this study, situ fluids borehole cores were collected conduct automatic rotary reactor experiments under different temperature acidification conditions laboratory studies. The chemical compositions core samples before after experiment compared. results show both acid have significant effects on water–rock interaction. effect mainly shown mineral solubility, while increased dissolution calcite feldspar minerals. Compared with high (65 °C) conditions, precipitation at low (45 largely reduced, but larger total volume changes, due formation montmorillonite. Therefore, from studies, recommended preform using low-temperature fluid, without adding acids.

Optimization of Reinjection in Geothermal Reservoirs
Re-injection of produced geothermal water for pressure support is a common practice in geothermal field management. The location selection of the reinjection well and the rate of injection is a challenging subject for geothermal reservoir engineers. The goal of optimization for this type of problem is usually to find one or more combinations of geothermal re-injection well locations that will m...

Numerical simulation techniques have been employed by several suthors (see e.g. Benson and Approximate analytical solutions a rived for Bodvarsson, 1982; Garg and Pritchett, 1384 to cold water injection into single0-phase “porous medium” geothermal reservoirs. A (liquid) and two-phase (liquid water/steam) numerical geothermal reservoir simulator is used “porous medium” reservoirs. Injection of ...
متن کاملTHE eFFECTS OF ADSORPTION ON INJECTION INTO GEOTHERMAL RESERVOIRS
The effects of an adsorbing phase on the injection of liquid and eventual production of vapor from a lowporosity, vapor dominated geothermal reservoir was studied. The magnitude of delay caused by adsorption, diffusion partitioning, preferential partitioning, and permeability variation were compared. Results were then compared to measured tracer production data at the Geysers to determine the m...
متن کاملA New Method of Forecasting the Thermal Breakthrough Time During Reinjection in Geothermal Reservoirs
Success of a reinjection process depends on the method used for estimating the thermal -ugh time. Estimating the thermal breakthrough time may be based solely on tracer data. Alternatively. it may be estimated solely by using thermal interference tests. While the tracer method usually yields ambiguous estimates, thermal interference tests are infeasible because durations of these tests are simi...
متن کاملThe Injection of Water into and Extraction of Vapour from Bounded Geothermal Reservoirs
When liquid is injected into a geothermal reservoir, a fraction of the liquid may vaporise if the reservoir is sufficiently hot. The vapour forms at an approximately p1ana.r liquid-vapour interface and diffuses towards the far boundary of the reservoir. If vapour is extracted froin the far boundary, then once the new vapour has diffused across the reservoir, the rate of production of vapour at ...
